Long Term: Seeking all-around full-time ranch employee to work with hands-on owner/operator in long-established family ranch business located in the scenic Wallowa Valley of NE OR. 300 Registered Angus Cows. Extensive A.I. program.
- Very nice processing facility. 500 acres irrigation with Wheel Lines, Pivot, & some Flood.
- Lots of electric fences & intensive cell grazing. Reworking old pastures under new irrigation system installed in 2017.
- Haying & Feeding with quality John Deere net wrap round bales. New heated shop. Some cattle experience required.
- Not a buckaroo position & do not need a general manager. Lots of potential to progress with the ranch.

- No house available on the ranch but just 3 miles to quality small town.
- Key functions: Cattle handling in pens & alleys on foot, pasture moves with dogs & ATV’s, feeding with tractors & round bales, calving, tagging, sorting pairs, electric & conventional fencing, irrigation, some tractor work, haying, & general maintenance.

Additional Information: Owner/Mgr has extensive prior experience in many aspects of the cattle industry from managing large ranches with purebred, commercial, stockers, feedlot, and branded beef programs with numerous contacts from a previous career in Agribusiness sales, marketing, and management within the Animal Health and AI fields. Well rounded having worked with cattlemen in 9 Western States.
Third generation, Purebred and Commercial family cattle operation. Not a fancy show place with artificial management practices. Stable yet innovative with 58 years in business. Cattle are our only business so while progressive, the ranch must still be run in the real world. Extensive, AI and ET programs with a primary goal of developing bulls for commercial cattle operations. Approximately 300 Registered Angus mother cows. Set up for Synch AI starts in late May and early June. Primary cattle handling facility is centered around Powder River sort pens and alleys with a System 2000 tub and lead alley to a Silencer Hydraulic chute. 500 acres irrigated with Pivot, wheel lines, & flood. Extensive new system added in 2017. Intensive cell grazing with poly wire fencing. 750 Tons of hay put up last year in large round bales.
